A Nano Crystal Coat (Nikon N) helps effectively reduce ghost and flare effects under harsh lighting for greater image clarity. Its Internal Focus (IF) provides fast and quiet auto focusing without changing the length of the lens, so you can retain subject to working distance through the entire focus range. The addition of Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements further improve image sharpness and overall quality. This is an excellent lens across the board and a versatile "one lens for every job" piece of equipment. This lens has a 77mm filter thread.
While utilizing the Nikon F mount that allows it to fit on manual focus Nikon SLR cameras, since this is a G-series lens and lacks the manual aperture ring it needs to be used solely on autofocus SLR or DSLR cameras that are capable of electronic control of aperture through the camera body.
